1Finding the right fundingWelcome! We start with the question that usually comes up early in funding work: where do we actually find the right funding?
2Three routes into funding researchFunding research doesn't always start in the same place. Sometimes a project is already set and you're looking for suitable funding. Sometimes a call for proposals comes first and you check whether it fits you. And sometimes the point is to keep a general eye on which funding opportunities could be interesting for you.
3Your Funding MapBefore we use AI to search for new funding opportunities, we look at what you already have. Your funding research doesn't start from scratch.
4How research becomes a systemNow we turn your Funding Map into a simple cycle. The radar makes sure new funding opportunities come to your attention at all. In your research, you check whether a tip is relevant for you. And in the database, you record what you've found out and decided. A shared spreadsheet is enough to start with.
5Researching funding opportunities with AIBefore you search for funding opportunities, you need the key facts of your project: content and objectives, target group, location, applicant organisation and estimated funding need. With these, you can ask an AI what might be suitable. As a way into an unfamiliar funding area, that's perfectly fine. If you already know the area, though, you'll quickly notice: what comes up are mainly the usual suspects.
6Using Deep Research for funding researchFrom the last video, you have your project description, several search directions, a keyword catalogue and perhaps first pointers from similar projects. If you now really want to research a funding area thoroughly, this is the moment for Deep Research.
7The limits of AI researchAfter an AI search, you first have a list of possible funding programmes in front of you. These aren't funding opportunities yet, but leads you follow up. In this video, we look at why that is and how you check what really holds up.
8Checking calls for proposals with AISo far, we've started from the project and looked for suitable funding. Now we turn the direction around: a call for proposals is on the table, from a newsletter, forwarded by someone or as a hit from your research. Does your project really fit it?
9Building your Funding RadarThe third starting point: you're not searching for a particular project, and you're not checking a single call for proposals either; you want to keep your funding landscape in view over time. That takes two things: a place that records what you've already checked, and a way for new information to come in regularly. A Funding Database and a Funding Radar.
10Scheduled tasksSo far, you've told the AI what to do, and it did it right away. But you can also tell it when to do something: do this tomorrow, do this every Friday, or check every day at eight whether anything has changed.
11Automating your Funding RadarIn this video, your Funding Radar becomes a process that runs regularly by itself: with two scheduled tasks. The first one evaluates what already comes in through your newsletters, alerts and information emails. The second one actively searches the web for opportunities you might not hear about otherwise.
12Your takeawaysTo close the course, we look back at the three starting points: a project looking for funding, funding looking for a project, and keeping the funding landscape in view instead of only searching when it gets urgent.
